It is extremely easy to edit the touchbar on the new Macbook Pro's. So if you want to tweak it a little and add/remove items to make it a bit more personal just follow the steps below.
To add an item to the touchbar:
- Open System Preferences
- Select Keyboard
- Select Customize Control Strip...
- You will now see the available items
- On your touchbar click the arrow
- This will expand the touchbar
- Use your mouse/trackpad to select an item you want to add to the touchbar
- Drag the item down and it will show in your touchbar
- Select Done
- Your item will now be in the touchbar available to use when you want
To remove an item from the touchbar:
- Open System Preferences
- Select Keyboard
- Select Customize Control Strip...
- On your touchbar click the arrow
- This will expand the touchbar
- Drag your mouse/trackpad down and select the item in the touchbar you wish to remove. It will turn grey when you drag the mouse/trackpad down and then you can move the mouse/trackpad right/left to highlight the one you want
- Drag the item to the main screen & release. This will remove the item
- Select Done to save changes
